"I've gone to the gym somewhat consistently since I was 18, but I've never had much direction and thus my fitness wasn't improving the way I wanted. I mainly wanted a simple workout plan that I could easily follow and someone to coach me through it, so I decided to pursue online training. Since consulting with Alex and telling him my fitness goals, he's created workout plans for me that are challenging but simple to follow as a beginner. After 8 months, I feel less like a beginner and working out has become a core part of my routine!"
1. Who are you?
Stewart Scott (29, M, Philadelphia PA)
2. How long have you worked with Alex?
I've worked with Alex for about 8 months.
3. What goal(s) did you start with?
My fitness goals were to become slightly slimmer and more toned. My goal was to also establish a flexible fitness routine for myself and improve my overall health.
4. What challenges and road blocks did you experience along the way?
Time and dedication has been a consistent road block. Due to the nature of my employment, my time to dedicate to the gym has ebbed and flowed. This includes the days I'm able to make it to the gym and the actual amount of time I'm able to dedicate to being there.
5. What miles stones and wins did you experience during your training?
Being able to utilize my body weight has definitely been an accomplishment. The focus on body weight in each module has made me much better at performing exercises such as push ups (correctly!) and core exercises.
6. What do you want anyone else to know when looking for a coach?
Understand exactly what it is you want out of a fitness program. That'll tailor your relationship with your coach. I've gone to the gym somewhat consistently since I was 18, but I've never had much direction and thus my fitness wasn't improving the way I wanted. I mainly wanted a simple workout plan that I could easily follow and someone to coach me through it, which is why online training made the most sense. So far, it's really been working!
